As summer winds down and plans for the fall rev up, it’s time to check back in with what’s going on at your Peace Lutheran Church! Get back into the intentional worship and Bible study habit as we receive what God gives us, engage in a new way of living, and seek to connect others to Jesus! To kick off the fall, we have a series of special worship and Bible study experiences:
August 27/28
Worship Passing on the Faith
Join us as we install Jake Parsons, our new Director of Children and Family Discipleship, commission our Red Apple teachers, and recognize educators who serve at Peace and in our surrounding communities! Plan on greeting Jake and his family after worship and welcoming them to our Peace family.
Sunday School for All Ages Welcome Back!
Fall Sunday School kicks off with 3rd grade through adults meeting together in the Fellowship Hall to rediscover the rhythm of regular bible study, reconnect with our Peace community, and re-engage with God’s
Word. All are welcome!
September 3/4
Worship Passing on the Faith, part 2
Our newly installed Director of Children and Family Discipleship will share God’s Word with us as Vicar Jake Parsons takes the pulpit. Families will also mark a special Peace rite of passage as parents present 2nd graders with a bible to encourage their growing relationship with God in His Word.
Sunday School for All Ages Welcome Jake!
Adult Faith will get to know Jake and his family better as Pastor Wiechman interviews our newest staff member. Hear more about the journey that led Jake to Peace and feel free to ask questions as we begin this ministry relationship. Early Childhood, Elementary and Youth will begin their regularly scheduled classes.

Worship We Remember
Take time to seek God’s presence as our nation marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11. The event that has shaped our history over the last decade gives us a chance to consider the God of History and how we live out our Christian lives in this world.
Sunday School for All Ages Sunday School Open House
While Adult Faith explores the themes from worship more in depth, parents are invited to accompany their children to Sunday School. We want all our parents to know the names and faces of the loving volunteers who share God’s Word with our children throughout the year. Your presence also tells your children Sunday School is an important part of their faith walk, and yours! Please join us!
These three weekends help kick off our fall discipleship for all ages! Please make time to share in the excitement, relationship-building, and faith-growth that get us all back into an intentional discipleship routine! And look for ways to invite a friend!

Vibrant Worship sermon and Sunday Morning Adult Faith Series
Have you ever wondered why we do what we do in worship as Lutherans? Using new banners designed especially for Peace’s Sanctuary, we will take a look at Bible stories and images that explore how God comes to us and shapes how we respond in our worship life together. Vibrant Worship will offer a great chance to bring an outsider in to hear what makes our worship life tick.
